![]() ![]() Didn’t like the music, didn’t like the gameplay, didn’t like the story. Pretty much said everything I wanted to say about it in the playing thread. Spacelines from the Far Out įinished the Artful Escape. It was fun for co-op and seemed a little challenging at first, but once we figured it out it became trivially easy. Gameplay consists of piloting the ship, taking care of passenger needs and repairing systems. It’s like a combination of FTL, Overcooked mixed with some light roguelike stuff where you run your own space transportation company. This weekend my wife and I started on a game pass game, Spacelines from the Far Out. Just Die Already! (Epic) -hated the controls ![]() Overall, I enjoyed it and would recommend it if a story and atmosphere heavy first person adventure game sounds like something you might like. There are numerous in-engine cut scenes where you see things happen from a first person view, but usually you can only watch until the game gives you back control, although some times you may have to press the use button rapidly at a specific time to avoid death during the cut scenes. Most of the time you're navigating creepy/dangerous environments, or waking around Metro stations taking in a few points of interest or buying supplies from vendors, or manning the guns on a fair amount of literal on-rails shooting sections. I'd say it's more of a FPS story game than an FPS shooter. ![]() The ending was interesting and not a typical giant boss fight like a lot of games. The visuals and mechanics are nice for solitaire and that’s about it, I wouldn’t expect more than that if you try it.įinally felt like playing a game tonight and I finished up Metro 2033 Redux. I thought maybe the story would be intertwined with the solitaire rounds, and there’d be options in the dialogue like those two games. Sucks because I really liked Subsurface Circular and Quarantine Circular by this dev. But compared to other games it just doesn’t hold up. As far as a solitaire game it’s the best I’ve played. It was super easy, beat the story in about 2-3 hours without losing a round. Very cool, recommended if you’re okay with a short game, without reservations. I got two endings, I helped the nature AI but then followed the cord back to reality to finish up some loose ends, and then helped Lem and Mina escape to start a new life on a planet together. The music is low key and chill, everything just feels right to be a backdrop to tell this story. It makes you think about life, AI, and feel something. ![]() The writing is phenomenal, better than some sci fi books I’ve tried to get into. But once you do play it you get why it works. If I described it like a choose your own adventure short story text rpg confined to a single space station no one would likely play it. The only thing I could knock it for would be its length, but it gets an A for what it is. Voice of Cards: The Isle Dragon Roars (B- )Ĭitizen Sleeper gets an A. Stuff I played a chunk of but didn't "beat": The Isle of BIGsnax expansion for Bugsnax (PS5) -My daughter beat this one Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion (GP) 5/12/22 -My daughter beat this one I'd maybe recommend it if you like little self-contained light gaming experiences that are off the beaten path. Nothing did damage to your little guy, and when parts wore out on your ship, you would always find repair tools to fix it. There was literally no way to fail as far as I could see, other than giving up. It was a very chill, atmospheric experience. ![]()
